JACKSON (Patrick.V, B.E.) (Woodcock Hill, Kilbeg, Headford, Co. Galway; December 11, 2006) - The family of the late Paddy sincerely thank all those who supported them and sympathised with them over the past year. Thank you to all those who travelled long distances in very inclement weather to call to Paddy's house and to attend his funeral and for the flowers, Mass Cards, phone calls and letters of sympathy. A special word of thanks to all our neighbours in Kilbeg in particular Mary Scally, her daughter Betty Sweeney and the extended Scally and Sweeney families who ensured Paddy's final journey home to his beloved Kilbeg went smoothly. Thank you to Paddy's friends in Derry especially Teresa Norris and Dr. Marie Madden. To Dr. Rose Sharkey, Nurse Michelle Doherty and all the staff of Altnagelvin Hospital Derry for their excellent care. To Dr. Ken O'Flaherty G.P. (Derry) and Dr. Val Costello G.P. (Headford), for their empathy and care of Paddy. Our sincere thanks to Fr. Martin Newell P.P. (Claran) and Fr. O'Grady P.P. (Headford) for their dignified celebration of Paddy's life. To Ronnie Lawless and the choir of Claran Church for the beautiful music during the mass. To the undertakers Willie O'Brien (Derry), Joe Irwin and Michael Tully (Galway). To the neighbours who prepared Paddy's grave in Cargin Cemetery. Thank you to the staff of the Trappers Inn and Jackson's Restaurant who looked after everybody so well in Kilbeg and to the staff of the Angler's Rest Hotel for their warm reception after the burial. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. First Anniversary Mass, Claran Church, Headford, Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 8pm.
