A Gentleman

Never met Dermot Early but his attitude and philosophy of life has to be admired - Family, Work, Leisure and Religion, Ireland has lost a true gentleman. If we can learn anything from his passing I do hopewe can follow in his footsteps. May he rest in peace.

A Man Apart

I never met Dermot Earley but I watched him many times playing football and I listened many times to interviews with him and match commentaries he did during the years. While his record of achievement stands as testimony to his ability, the overall impression I got of Dermot was of a kind, sincere and loyal man - his loyalty to Roscommon, Kildare, the Army, his Family all bear witness to his character but it is for his gentle warmth and easy smile and pleasantness to all that I will always remember him for.

Sincere sympathies to his family.
