BUTTERLY-DUFFY, Bernadette (Howth and Rush Co. Dublin, died January 22, 2010) - On the occasion of the first anniversary of her death, Bernadette's husband Jimmy, mother Frances, sisters, Colette, Carol, Alice, Noeleen and Patricia offer their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who helped, supported and sympathised with them on Bernadette's death. To those who called to the house and attended Bernadette's funeral many of whom travelled long distances we will always remember you. To all who made donations to St Francis Hospice, sent Mass Cards and wrote such wonderful letters of support, thank you. To our wonderful friends, family, relatives and neighbours and all those helped us in so many ways, we are overwhelmed by your kindness and continued support. A special thanks to our friend Fr. Peter Finnerty for his support and comfort during Bernadette's illness, and especially for his moving celebration of her requiem Mass. Thank you to Deirdre Prendergast who organised the wonderful music, to singers Antoinette Heery, and Keith McDonald who sang so beautifully. Thanks also to Jimmy's cousin John Fegan for his singing at the crematorium. We are also grateful to Jonathan Stafford and the staff of T. Stafford & Sons for their sensitive and professional handling of the funeral arrangements. Words could not describe the loving care, and attention Bernadette received from Mary Marjoram during her illness and her continuing support and friendship to Jimmy. We are truly grateful for the devoted and tender nursing care Bernadette received from in particular her good friend Bernie Hunt, Emma Ryan, Alison Sexton, Marie Louise Roden, Simmy and all the staff of Aisling Home Care. Thank you to Pat Farrelly for her kindness and practical help. We wish to thank Dr. Tony Crosby not only for his dedicated medical care but also for his ability to make us laugh on his daily visits to the house. The support received during Bernadette's illness from the St. Francis Hospice Raheny and the Irish Cancer society is also appreciated as is the helpful assistance we received from Dargan's Chemist Berkeley St. As it would not be possible to thank each person individually we would like to ask that this acknowledgement be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intention of all. Bernadette was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister and friend whom we all dearly loved and who will always be in our hearts
