HERBERT (Micheál) (Castleconnell, Co. Limerick) (June 19, 2006) - On Micheál's first anniversary, his wife Bríd and we, his family would like to express our deep appreciation to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us in so many different ways when Micheál died a year ago. Your acts of kindness comfort us still. We thank his friends from the world of politics and sport, many of whom travelled long distances to celebrate with us his full and productive life. We also thank all of those who sent letters of commiseration, Mass Cards and flowers. We are forever indebted to our neighbours, relatives and friends for their unfailing support in the last difficult years of Micheál's life and for all their practical help at the time of his death. In particular, we thank Dr Pat Moroney, the Public Health nursing staff, and all those who cared for Micheál in his infirmity. We would like to thank Ahane GAA Club who honoured him during his life and in death. We offer a special word of thanks to our cousin, Father Tadgh, our friend Rev Aisling Shine and all the other clergy who took part in the funeral Mass for the consolation they afforded us. Finally, we fondly remember the generous and heartfelt tributes paid by all to Micheál and especially by his friend, Brian Cowen TD. Mass has been offered for all of you.
