McENTEE (Aindreas) (died January 6, 2005) - On this, the First Anniversary of the death of our beloved Aindreas, his wife Marie, daughters Claire and Sinead, together with his mother Judy, family and extended family, wish to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all for their outpouring of support and sympathy on our great loss. To our great friends who helped us through Aindreas's long illness, those who drove him to his treatments, visited him at home, took him to his favourite places - old haunts and new, thank you. To all who attended the removal in such numbers at St Jude's, Templeogue and the funeral in the Cathedral in Cavan, and all who sent Mass Cards and expressions of sympathy, our thanks. Our thanks also to Fr Johnny Cusack, Aindreas's cousin and Fr Phil Brady for the comfort they gave to him during visits to the Hospice, the clergy of St Jude's and to Bishop Leo O'Reilly and all the clergy who concelebrated the funeral Mass. To the musicians, Ruth Gibson, Carmel Donoghue and Fr Gerry Kearns our deep appreciation. Our gratitude to all Aindreas's friends and colleagues at the Irish Medical Times, to the enormous gathering of friends and former Irish Press colleagues and to the provincial and national media for their warm and generous tributes. Many thanks to the GardaĆ at Sundrive Road and Cavan Town for their presence and suport; to Cavan Gaels for the Guard of Honour. Above all, our deepest gratitude to the Home Care Team, the Palliative Care Team and the staff of St Gabriel's at Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross for their support to Aindreas and sensitivity to the family at all times. We especially appreciated how they helped Aindreas to achieve his personal goals with dignity, courage and good humour. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions. The First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated at 6.30 o'clock on Saturday, January 7 at the Church of St Jude the Apostle, Templeogue.
