McGURRAN

McGURRAN - In proud and fond memory of Comrade Malachy McGurran, Vice-President Workers' Party, Chairman Republican Clubs, Councillor Craigavon District Council, Executive Member N.I.C.R.A., who died on July 27, 1978. A courageous and compassionate man, he loved humanity and respected human values. He knew the dignity of men and women and hated with a deep hatred whatever tried to rob them of that dignity. He was a man of patriotism and history. He loved his country for its people and his country's history for the people's struggle that could never be contained in narrow pages or narrower creeds. It was this that made him a Republican and a Socialist of deep conviction. Always remembered by his comrades and friends - Ard Comhairle, Workers' Party of Ireland.
