COLBERT MURPHY (Old Connaught House, Bridge Street, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, died May 23, 2010) - Sharon's family offer their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who helped, supported and sympathised with them on Sharon's death. To those who called to the house and attended Sharon's funeral in such huge numbers, many of whom travelled long distances, we will always remember you. We are most grateful for your kindness and support during Sharon's illness and thank all those who visited her in both the Galway Hospice and at home. To all who made donations to the Galway Hospice and the Ballinasloe Cancer Centre, sent Mass Cards and wrote such wonderful letters of support, thank you. To Sharon's friends, family and work colleagues whose friendship and kindness throughout her illness gave her courage and kept her spirits high, we thank you. Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff involved in Sharon's care at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe and University College Hospital, Galway, in particular the Oncology Teams at both Hospitals. Also thanks to the wonderful staff at Galway Hospice, Renmore who made Sharon so welcome and comfortable in their care in her final days. To all our wonderful friends and neighbours who visited our home, assisted with catering and were such a rock for the family. We will be forever grateful. A special thanks to our three celebrants, Bishop John Kirby, Fr. Christy O'Beirne and particularly Fr. Declan McInerney, who was so supportive throughout this difficult time. To the excellent choir at St. Michael's Church and all those who participated at Sharon's Requiem Mass, we thank you. Thanks to Rothwell Undertakers for their professional handling of the funeral and the gravediggers who prepared her final resting place. Thanks too the the staff of Melody's for the excellent food after Sharon's burial. As it would not be possible to thank each person individually, we would like to ask that this acknowledgement be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. Sharon was a wonderful and courageous woman and your genuine support to the family is testament to how highly she was regarded. Months Mind Mass at 10 am, Saturday, June 26 in St. Michael's Church, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
