<p>BUTLER Anthony (Tony) (Manila, Philippines and Shankill, Co. Dublin) - December 8, 2009, aged 56, tragically following an accident in the Philippines. Adored son of Elizabeth and the late Jack, brother of Gerry, Bernadette (Howard) and Jim, sadly missed by his wife Gina, his children Genna, Natalie, Barry and Brionna, his extended family and many friends worldwide.</p> <p>Memorial Mass will take place this Saturday, 19th December 2009, at 12pm in St. Anne's Church, Shankill, Co. <p>shocked, saddened, diminished</p> <p><br />Tony and I became friends in adversity more than 20 years ago. He more than repaid the kindness through the years. I loved him like a brother and I am so shocked and disbelieving, he was one of the most alive men I knew. I feel diminished by this loss because my heart held him in high esteem and affection. Tony had a big heart and his memory will always live on with me as partof who Iam. My with-suffering to Gina and kids and to his dear Mum and brothers, Gen' and all the family. May you find strengthto endure from the love of all those who loved him. - Mike in Drogheda</p>

<p>PRFU will miss Tony</p> <p>The Philippine Rugby Football Union and myself will dearly miss the friendship and contributions made to the development of Juniors Rugby here in the Philippines. Tony was a PFRU board member and his company ACTIVEFUN sponsored the monthly juniors league that had up to 200 children aged from 8 - 14 compete. Two of these clubs were foundations. In Jan 2010 the PRFU will honor Tony by starting a new 12 and 14 year old tackle league and the annual trophy will be named the TONY BUTLER MEMORIAL CUP.</p> <p>Everyone from the PRFU commmunity will dearly miss Tony and all he has done for Rugby Union development here in the Philippines.</p> <p>Thanks Tony, you will always be remebered as a great mate and supporter of the game that is played in heaven, Rugby Union.</p> <p>Matt Cullen</p>
