KINSELLA (George) (Somerset Cottage, Lower Newtown, Waterford) (April 16, 1958 - July 27, 2004) - George's wife, children, mother, sisters, brothers and family wish to acknowledge the overwhelming generosity, affection and kindness shown to us at the time of George's sudden death and throughout the year. We truly appreciate your sincere words of praise and love for George and your great acts of love and support for us. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. George was a unique human being whose death has left an enormous void in our lives. The Memory of Water
(In memoriam George Kinsella
1958 - 2004)
No one was ever going to break you in.
Not for you the snaffle or the curb.
You plunged into life as you plunged
into the sea at The Guillamene
with a laugh or a roar and every time
you surfaced we knew you were coming
up for more than just a mouthful of air.
Until the day death took hold of you
the way you once took hold of life
and would not let go.
You broke our hearts and all we could do
was be glad we had hearts that could
break even though we all knew what was
broken could only be mended by you.
So now, George Kinsella,
I utter your name
in this mouthful of air
borne beyond rage and grief
to the sea all we living share.
You will never stop surfacing there - Francis Harvey
We are having a Celebration Service of
George's life on Saturday September 3,
2005.
