GAFFNEY, Sheila

GAFFNEY (née Goold) (Portmarnock, Co. Dublin) - November 9, 2010 (peacefully, in her 88th year) in the tender care of the doctors and staff of Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin, after a long and brave battle with illness, Sheila, beloved wife of the late John and sister of the late Nuala and Ned; cherished and much-loved mother of Gillian (O'Brien, Carlow), Brian (Dublin) and Jane (New York), adored 'Mom' to Niall, Barry, Eleanor, Amy and Sue and great-grandmother of Joshua and one-week old Alannah. She will be very sadly missed also by her son-in-law John, sisters Mary, Sr. Florrie and Ann, brothers Paddy and John, many nieces and nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and devoted friends. May she rest in peace. Requiem Mass at 10.00 o'c today (Friday) in St. Anne's Church, Portmarnock and thence to St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton.
