FORTIN, Déirdre Anne - Beloved wife of Matthew, age 39, died Saturday, surrounded by loved ones in Chicago, Illinois. Déirdre Anne Fox was born on August 8, 1969 in Dublin, Ireland to the late Tom and Mona Fox. Déirdre was a professional photographer, artist, and graphic artist who most enjoyed sharing her talents with her friends and family. On a glorious day, June 14th, 2003 she married the one who adored her Matt, at St. Brigid's Church in Corhonagh, County Sligo. Left to cherish her memory along with her husband Matt she is survived by siblings, Mary, Donncha, Ciarán, Orna, and Fiona Lynch (Kieran), all of Ireland. Jerry and Rita Fortin of Bay City, Meg Vaughn (Steve) Grand Blanc, Michael of Chicago. Cherished nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Abby, Molly, Jonathan, and Julie. Many dear friends and especially Finola Doran and Anne Marie Campbell. Mass will be Wednesday April 22nd at St. Stephen Church, Saginaw at 1 p.m. officiated by Father Robert Deland. The family will be present from 11am until the mass. Honouring Déirdre's wishes cremation has taken place. Mass and burial in Strandhill, Ireland the following week. Please no flowers. Donations to the Society of St Vincent dePaul/food pantry or the breast cancer charity of your choice. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís (there will never be her like again). Tá tú i mbachlainn Dé anois (you are in God's embrace now).
