NELSON (Canon Jim) 21 Seaview Park, Mornington, Co. Meath (Died 18th March 2008) - Jim's wife Audrey, son David, daughters Miriam, and Sarah, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement. We greatly appreciate the kindness of our extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours who provided tremendous comfort, support and practical help. Thank you to all those who sent cards and kind letters of sympathy and to those who attended the funeral in St. Mary's Julianstown. A special thank you to Rev. Canon John Clarke who conducted the service so eloquently and to Archbishop Empey for Jim's eulogy. Thank you to Bernie Daly and Colonel Jim Mortell for reading and to Johnny Rowden, a long term friend of Jim's, for playing the organ at his behest. Thank you to Kevin Bowers for all his help in making the Order of Service and Watson's undertakers for the funeral arrangements. A special and much appreciated thank you to all the ladies of Julianstown Union of Parishes for their time and generosity in offering great hospitality to all those who attended the funeral. Our appreciation also goes to the Defence Forces at Gormanston Camp and also to the Drogheda Day Care Centre. We would like to thank the parish of Kildare for making Jim's time in the Curragh such a happy and memorable one. We are deeply appreciative of the excellent care and attention Jim received from all the nurses and doctors and staff in the Mater Private Dublin. As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
