O'BYRNE (Edward) (Sliabh Aisling, Tullowclay, Tullow, Co. Carlow) - Edward's wife Rita, his sons, daughters, brothers, sister and in-laws sincerely thank all who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement, we thank our neighbours for their help and support. We thank those who called to the house, attended the removal, funeral Mass and burial. The family thank everyone who sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy, telephone messages, floral tributes, made donations to Cairdeas or to the Cancer Society and those who travelled to be with them. We sincerely thank Fr Charlie Byrne and Fr Vincent McDonald for their attention and support they gave Edward and the family over the past difficult months. We thank Bishop James Moriarty and all the clergy for their support. We thank all who cared for Edward through his illness, Dr and Mrs Kehoe, Tullow, Mr Wilson and the staff of St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, Mr Grainger, his team and staff of Tallaght Hospital, the homecare team and district nurses, We are indebted to all who participated in the funeral liturgy, the organist Mary Timmons, the soloist Ursula Fox and the readers. We also thank the sacristan, the alter servers and the Alter Society. We thank the National Ploughing Association, Tullow Show Society and the Carlow County Ploughing Association for providing a Guard of Honour. We thank John Byrne Undertaker for the dignified way he attended to the funeral arrangements. We thank Lily Jackman, her staff and the Ladies of the parish who did the catering. We thank the Simmons family and Paddy Egan for the use of their fields for car parking. We thank the stewards and the gravediggers. We thank the GardaĆ for their support and attention. We sincerely thank our neighbours, friends and extended family who continue to support us. We deeply appreciate and always remember their kindness. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this Acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. Mass will be celebrated for your intention. Edward's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's Church, Ballyconnell on Friday, July 29 at 7.30 o'clock
