COLLINS KELLY (Dr Mary Liz) (Dublin and Drogheda) died 2 September 2005. Mary Liz's husband Paddy, daughter Naoise, sisters Jane and Kate, Marion and the entire family circle, wish to thank all those who supported them during her final illness and all those who sympathised with them on their sad loss. We can never forget the kindness and love shown by her friends and colleagues to Mary Liz and her family during those very difficult months. To all the doctors, nurses, carers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and all the various medical teams involved in her care, we thank you for your patience and understanding. Special thanks to Fr Pat Carroll, Fr Wilie Jenkinson and Fr Denis Nulty, who concelebrated the funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, Drogheda, with such sensitivity, the family and friends who assisted, St Peter's Male Voice Choir whose wonderful singing uplifted us all and St Peter's Church of Ireland Bell ringers. It was a farewell of which Mary Liz would have been proud. To the staff, pupils and families of the Teresian School, Donnybrook, thank you for your understanding throughout the year and for the lovely tribute at the funeral. We are truly grateful for your ongoing support. Paddy, Naoise, Jane, Kate and Marion would especially like to thank all their wonderful friends and neighbours for their immense practical help which took so many forms and involved so many thoughtful acts of kindness. Finally we thank all those who attended the funeral (some of whom travelled long distances and from overseas to be with us), those who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy and flowers and those who gave donations to the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre, Drogheda. We are aware that Mary Liz's death has a particular meaning to each of her friends, colleagues and patients and we would like to them to know that we understand their own personal loss. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our warm and grateful appreciation. Mass will be offered for your intentions, and as a celebration of Mary Liz's life.
