FITZMAURICE (Alan) (Ardsallagh Beg, Roscommon) (October 21, 2007) - Alan's wife Dawn, daughter Emma, together with his dad and mam Gerry and Brigeen, his parents-in-law Martin and Finola and the extended family would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the removal, Mass and funeral, called to our houses, those who travelled long journeys, sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy, letters, floral tributes and phone calls. To all of those who helped us over the last year to cope with the lose of our darling Alan. A very special thank you to Mon. Travers for a beautiful funeral Mass and Homily, to Canon McLoughlin, Fr. Browne, Fr. Fallon, Fr. Cullen, Fr. Leogue, Fr. McHugh, Fr. Donnolly. To Dr. Farrell, Dr. Mortimer U.C.H.G, Ambulance personnel, and Garda Siochana. To all who participated in Alan's funeral Mass, the readers, gift bearers, Mass servers, to Miriam Hunt, Michael Thomas and the Senior Choir for the beautiful music and singing. To those who formed the guard of honour, to the Smyth Family, Tom and especially Patrick for your kindness and professionalism, and John Hoare and cemetery staff for preparing Alan's resting place. To Alan's colleagues and staff both past and present, and Whelan's Quarries for your continued support and friendship. To all those who made Alan's short life so enjoyable. Thank you to our wonderful Clergy, families, neighbours and friends too numerous to mention for your support over the past year, our lives revolved around Alan and we miss him so much. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.Alan - you are forever in our thoughts.
