MacGIOLLA, Tomás - February 4, 2010, in Beaumont Hospital, former T.D., Lord Mayor of Dublin 1993-1994 and City Councillor, President Sinn Féin/Workers Party 1962-1988, member of Ard Comhairle until his death, greatly admired and respected, loyal follower of Tone and Connolly. Deeply regretted by his wife Máire, sister Evelyn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, comrades and friends in the Workers Party and numerous friends in Ireland and internationally. Funeral today (Monday), following a ceremony of tribute at 12.30 o'clock in the Ballyfermot Civic Community Centre. Burial will follow in Palmerstown Cemetery.
