HACKETT, Edward (Donnybrook and Killiney, died August 14, 2007) - Edward's sisters Janet, Ann and Diane, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandniece, grandnephews and friend Marge would like to thank everyone most sincerely, who sympathised and supported them during his long illness and at the time of his death. Your generosity, kindness and compassion was comforting and very much appreciated. Our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the Removal and the Mass. Special thanks to Dr. David Fennelly and his wonderful oncology team at the Blackrock Clinic and to Fr. Gerry Byrne whose sense of humour kept a smile on Ed's face. We especially thank Fr. Richard Purcell, Fr. Aiden Lehane and the priests who concelebrated the Funeral Mass. Sister Manus Daly and her caring staff at Caritas, and Jessica from Home Instead looked after Ed with great care and love. He called them "Stars". Thanks, too, to his friends and neighbours in Killiney, his colleagues and great friends from Blackrock College. We also wish to thank the priests of Donnybrook Parish and Fanagan Funeral Directors, as well as everyone who sent cards of sympathy, Mass Cards, letters and messages. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as an acknowledgement of our sincerest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
