McALEESE (Mount Merrion, Dublin) - October 31, 2007, Desmond, Professor Emeritus, University College Dublin (peacefully), in the tender care of the staff of the Blackrock Hospice. Beloved husband of Sheila and much loved father of Terence, Juliet and Fiona. Sadly missed by his loving family, brother Gerald, sisters Kathleen and Lily, daughter-in-law Audrey, sons-in-law Patrick Benson and Thomas Burgess, grandchildren Eoin, Sophie, Nicholas, Susan, Gregory, Peter, Charles, Alice and Lucy, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Removal tomorrow (Saturday) to the Church of St Therese, Mount Merrion arriving at 4 o'clock Funeral on Monday after 11 o'clock Mass to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Blackrock Hospice. House private."Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis".
