DODD, Professor Vincent (Bray and formerly U.C.D, died August 15th, 2007) - On the first anniversary of Vincent's death, his wife Ruth, sons Vincent, Andrew, David and Philip, and extended family, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them at the very sad loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A special thank you to all of our relatives and friends who have been a great support to us during the past year. We thank all the friends who visited Vincent in hospital prior to his death as well as those who attended his removal and funeral Mass. We would like to thank Fr. John O'Connell, Fr. George Begley, Rev. Canon Ricky Rowntree, Rev. John Marchant, Fr. Cormac O Brolchain CSSp and Fr. Tom Nash CSSp, for contributing to a very comforting funeral Mass. In addition, we thank our soloists, musicians and good friends Frank Cullinan, Shay Ryan and The Delmaine String Quartet. To Colliers Funeral Undertakers Bray, we are most grateful for their professional and compassionate care. The family greatly appreciate the many tributes received from Vincent's many students and colleagues at U.C.D., in particular Bill Magette, as well as his many colleagues in the wider national and international engineering community. A special thank you to all of Vincent's friends in the Greystones Bridge Centre. Our thanks also to Dr. Rita Doyle, Dr. Mark Lehar, and the doctors and staff of The Blackrock Clinic, Beacon Hospital, St. James's Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital.We are grateful to all those who sent mass cards, letters of sympathy and floral tributes and we hope you accept this acknowledgement as a token of our warmest appreciation and gratitude.
