Dublin) - November 20, 2005 (peacefully), in the tender care of the staff of St Laurence's Ward, Beaumont Hospital, Jim, beloved husband of Lilli, wonderful father to Geraldine, Linda, Alan and Ronnie and father-in-law to Mark, Eamon, Karen and Helena, much loved grandfather to Ciara, Paul, David, Lucy, Sandra, Eddie, Lisa, Andrew, Dean, Ben, Chloe, Sarah and Rory, "Pa Jim", to great-grandson Ryan; sadly missed by his loving family, his sister Maire, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Removal tomorrow (Wednesday) from Lanigans Funeral Home, Beaumont Road to St Anne's Church, Portmarnock arriving at 5 o'clock Funeral on Thursday after 10 o'clock Mass to Glasnevin Crematorium. Jim will be remembered at 10 o'clock Mass in St. Anne's Church, Portmarnock on Thursday November 22.

An artist, golfer, friend, Jim enriched our lives with his unique qualities, his wit and wisdom and his enduring love for us. Lilli together with all the family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with them, attended Jim's funeral Mass and cremation, and sent so many Mass Cards and flowers. To the many friends who visited Jim in hospital and at home thank you for the time you spent, he enjoyed your company. Thanks to Dr Martin O'Flynn for his care and support, to Linda and Breda, Sylvia and the nurses at the Health Centre, to James, Mark and staff at McCartan's Pharmacy. We are very grateful for the wonderful carers Chris, Patricia and staff at Fingal Home Help Service who helped to care for Jim at home. Thanks also to the doctors and nurses of Beaumont Hospital, for their care of and kindness to Jim. Thanks to the priest's of the parish, the organist and soloist and those who assisted with the beautiful Mass. A special word of appreciation to Jim's friends from Donabate Golf Club, whose guard of honour was a wonderful tribute to a past-captain. Thanks to Lanigans Funeral Home, Beaumont Road, for their professional and caring service. To our many good friends and neighbours, we are grateful for your continued kindness and support. Thanks to our many friends and work colleagues who gave support and comfort to the entire family in their bereavement. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all of your intentions.[BO]
