MALONE, Kevan (Limerick) - Kevan's parents Frank and Niamh and his sister Ciara together with his Grandmother Chrissie Glancy, his Aunt Anne Malone and his Uncles Des Glancy and Tony Malone wish to thank all those who sympathised with them following the incomprehensible loss of their beloved Kevan. Sincere thanks are expressed to all who attended the removal and funeral Mass particularly those who travelled long distances: to all who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy and floral tributes: to those who phoned or called offering support, prayers or practical help. Special thanks to Msgr. Dan Neenan, and Fr. Michael O'Shea, for such a wonderfully uplifting Mass. We will always remember Kevan's friends from Limerick and UCC who contributed so much to the Funeral Mass which reflected his wonderful life and personality, in particular those who carried his coffin with such pride and also the UCC Students who formed the Guard of Honour. We wish to thank members of the Academic and Administrative Staff at UCC for their kindness both at the time of our loss and also at the Conferring Ceremony in September when Kevan's Law Degree was awarded posthumously. Special thanks to Fr. Joe Coughlan, Head of Chaplaincy at UCC who stood with us and prayed with us on the night of the accident in Cork and again at the Mass in the Honan Chapel in March. We thank the Emergency Services in Cork who attended at the site of the accident and the staff of the Emergency Department at CUH and also Members of the Garda Siochana in Cork and Limerick for their efficiency, professionalism and sensitivity. Particular gratitude to our extended family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who have been and continue to be a support to us in our ongoing grief. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all. First Anniversary Mass in Monaleen Church at 8pm Saturday, February 13, 2010.Farewell, Farewell Our Golden Boy.
