Dare to Smile

When you have been close-

Skin, gut, heart, eye close-

There is a searing pain in separation-

Gutwrench, heartache, eyesore.

You belong in the bright sun

That defers to your smile.

That smile is in me now.

I see with your eyes.

O and that heart; loving still,

Beats with wonder at life's beauty,

Fires your lovers and your loved,

Bequeaths me extra goodness.

I cannot bear to name

All that I will miss

But when I hear

softly spoken Spanish

Or the strains

of an Argentinean tango

My heart will pause,

Eyes will moisten,

Memories will quicken

And I'll dare to smile.

Well done good and faithful servant

Connor and I are so sorry for your loss. My memory of Jennifer is the last we saw her in Skerries at the triatholon. She has a beatuiful hat on and looked very peaceful. The entire family was elated to see her. I hope that the fond memories you share of Jennifer will warm you during your time of sorrow. Our prayers are with you all. God Bless. Peggy and Connor Sidman.

To our tango friend

We are deeply saddened and shoked to hear about Jennifer's passing... Although we knew very little about her life and herself, it is often the case that you develop strong relationships with people in tango... Everytime we saw Jennifer at a class or a milonga, she was always an enthusiatic, chatty and caring person. We would never have thought that she was carrying the horrible weight of a terrible disease. This certainly shows what a strong and happy person she was...

All our thoughts are with her and of course with her family to which we send our sincere condolences.

We will play a tango in the memory of Jennifer at our next milonga...

Marion & Enrique
