JONES, Emma (Terenure) - On this the First Anniversary of our dear Emma's death, her parents David and Geraldine, brother Mark and sisters Isobel and Sally and our extended family are deeply grateful to all those who sympathised with us, those who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, floral tributes, those who attended Emma's Reposing at home and the funeral Mass, and especially those who travelled long distances to be with us and support us at this very difficult time. We would like to pay a special tribute to St. Pius X Girls School Terenure, especially Emma's classmates, Emma's 5th Class teacher Ms. Gabrielle Smith, her Principal Ms. Celine Fitzpatrick and former Principal Mary Stewart for their thoughtfulness and co-operation during Emma's illness. A very special thank you to Fr. Kevin Rowan for his wonderful, moving and memorable tribute to our dear Emma, to Fr. Frank Mc Donald P.P. and Fr. Eoin Moore O.Carm. for concelebrating the funeral Mass and to Fr. Karl Fortune for attending to Emma in her last weeks. We deeply appreciate the continuing support of Bishop Eamon Walsh and Fr. Aquinas Duffy P.P. whose visits to our home have been a great source of comfort to us over the past year. We will always cherish the enormous contribution made by the beautiful singing of the School Choir at the funeral Mass led by teacher Ms. Bernie Gunning and which was greatly enhanced by the singing of Mrs. Gifford Whittle and Ms. Bronwyn Whittle, the Brady family and organist Paddy Furlong. Nor shall we ever forget the relentless hard work and commitment by Dr. Michael Capra and his team in St. John's Crumlin, Dr. Donncha O'Brien and the staff in Beaumont Hospital and of course Dr. Catriona O'Sullivan and the staff of 10A and 10B in St. Luke's Hospital. Emma's final precious weeks at home were made so much more comfortable by the care and compassion of Dr. Bill Twomey, aided by nurses Criona Nash and Niamh Gantley from Our Lady's Hospice, and nurse Carmel McCarthy from the Irish Cancer Society, whose support was immeasurable to our family. We will be forever grateful and shall never forget all our dear friends and neighbours who supported us in so very many ways and have remained with us over the last year. We send our warmest thanks to every one of you. May we also thank all our friends in the GAA, especially Emma's football team from Templeogue Synge Street who provided a lovely guard of honour at her funeral, and for the ongoing support of the staff and pupils of Loreto College St. Stephen's Green and Loreto College Beaufort. Thank you too to Kevin Duffin, Sacristan, Masseys Undertakers, Terenure Health Centre, especially Anne and Doreen, and Hickey's Pharmacy. Finally a special word of thanks to An Garda Siochána for accompanying Emma to her final resting place with style and professionalism. As it is impossible to write to you all individually please accept this as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is being offered for all your intentions.
"Though your days here were brief
Your Spirit was alive, awake, complete."

Rest in Peace dear Emma.
