FLAVELLE, Henry Dagg (né Henry Flavelle Dagg) (Mackay, Australia and formerly of Dublin) - The members of Henry's extended family are deeply appreciative of all the kind support given them in word and deed since he passed away on January 30, 2009, peacefully in Mackay. His was a full and energetic life lived with great enthusiasm, artistic gifts, kindness and a sense of fun, and he is sadly missed. Henry was the much loved former husband first of Muriel (Dagg) and later of Una (Flavelle), dear father of Henry Dagg, Barbara Dagg and Claire Flavelle and beloved brother of Hazel (Gray) and the late Eithne (Moore). His passing is deeply regretted by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of family and friends in both countries. Cremation took place in February in Australia, following a beautiful ceremony filled with his favourite pieces of classical and jazz music. He is surely continuing to enjoy in the next life all the great loves of his earthly one: architecture, playing music in chamber groups, orchestras and dance-bands, riding motorbikes, flying model aircraft and talking and laughing with family and friends. We miss his great companionship now, but hope to regain it one day, with great joy.
