O'CONNOR Kierie (Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow) Died October 3, 2005 - On this Kierie's First Anniversary he is remembered with love. He was a treasured husband and best friend to Alma and a great dad to Darragh, Rebecca and Gavin. He had a huge enthusiasm for life, was much loved by many and now is dearly missed. As in life Kierie remains with us as a shining light that watches over us every day. He left us not easily but with acceptance, courage, serenity and with words of wisdom for those around him. Alma, Darragh, Rebecca, Gavin, his mom Nancy, sister Donna and brothers Marc and Ken and the entire family circle would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our wonderful friends and neighbours for their love and support, for their laughter and tears, for the great deeds and small jobs. To all those who fed us and sustained us, who phoned, text or called during Kierie's illness and parting. Sincere gratitude to the principals, teachers and students of C.B.C., Monkstown, St. Joseph Of Cluny and Kilmacanogue National School for their support and help which they continue to give . A special appreciation to Linda and all the staff of Moviemaster who remained steadfast, giving an ongoing commitment and hard work to the company during his illness and over the last year. Thank you to Dr. D. Fennelly and staff of the fourth floor, St Vincent's Private Hospital for their care of Kierie during his illness. The huge attendance at this funeral was a wonderful tribute to his life. Thank you to all who attended the Removal Service, Funeral Mass and the countless people who sent flowers, messages of sympathy and Mass Cards. A special thanks to Fr. Owen Lynch CC for the Service and Mass ensuring that it was truly a celebration of Kierie's life; to the choir of St. Joseph Of Cluny for their beautiful singing, grateful thanks to the schools and the Kilmacanogue Cubs and Scouts for their guards of honour on both days, also the local Gardai for their traffic assistance. Alma, Darragh, Rebecca and Gavin would like to give a special thanks to their family and friends who have helped, supported and shared their memories and stories of Kierie over the past year and somehow made us laugh. Finally we thank God for Kierie's short life, for the love we shared and the happiness he brought to all who were privileged to know him. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our heartfelt thanks."I can do anything"
