LAVAN Sara (née McCabe) (Dublin and Boyle) - December 8, 2009 (very peacefully), in her 97th year and in the gentle care of the staff at the Marlay Nursing Home, wife of the late Patrick Bernard and darling mother of Ann and Vivian; she will be sadly missed by her daughter, son, daughter-in-law Una, grandchildren Myles, Vivian, Naomi and Sarah, granddaughters-in-law and great granddaughter Amelia, relatives, friends and neighbours. Requiescat in pace. Removal tomorrow (Saturday) evening to Terenure College Chapel, arriving for reception prayers at 4.00 o'clock Funeral on Monday 14 December after 10.30 o'c Mass to Redford Cemetery, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. House private please.

LAVAN Sara (Dublin and Boyle) - On this the First Anniversary of the death of Sara Lavan (December, 8, 2009), her family would like to thank sincerely those who sympathised with us in our loss, attended the funeral services, sent flowers, Mass cards, and letters and those who supported us in the past year. We would like to thank the staff at the Marlay Nursing Home for their gentle and sensitive end of life care. A special thank you to Fr. Michael Troy, O.Carm., Fr. Eoin Moore, O.Carm., the Terenure College Community and those who played a part in making the funeral ceremonies so memorable. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
