JOHNSTON (Mervyn) (Bishopstown, Cork and late of Blarney) (Died February 10, 2006) - Mervyn's wife Margaret, son Douglas and extended family wish to thank all those who sympathised with them on his death. We particularly wish to express our sincere gratitude to those who attended the removal, funeral Service and burial, sent letters of sympathy, Mass Cards and floral tributes. We are deeply grateful to Rev. B. O'Rourke, organist Mr. J. Higgins and soloist Mr. T. Emery for making the funeral Service so personal and special for us. Thank you to our neighbours and friends for their kindness and support to us. We would also like to thank Mervyn's G.P. Dr. A. Lyne, his consultants Dr. B. Sweeney and Dr. P. Kearney, hospital chaplains and the nurses and staff of ward 2A, Cork University Hospital for their outstanding care and kindness shown to him. Many thank to the staff of St. Luke's Home who looked after Mervyn so lovingly in his final days. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
