LUDDEN (Very Reverend Stephen Canon PE) (Clonbur and Clifden County Galway) (Died July 31, 2008 at U.C.H.G) - Sister Terry and brother Laurence wish to express their deepest appreciation to all who sympathised with them in their sad loss, to all who attended the removal and funeral Mass at Clonbur and to those who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy. Heartfelt gratitude to Most Reverend Dr. Michael Neary, Archbishop of Tuam, for his homily at the funeral Mass and to Very Reverend Fr. Billy Reilly P.P, Clonbur, other concelebrants of the funeral Mass and the large number of priests and religious from the Archdiocese of Tuam and elsewhere in the wonderful choral contribution or who otherwise attended. Special thanks is due to the local choir and to organisations who formed a guard of honour at the removal of remains (especially schoolchildren and teachers during holiday time) The wonderful care and attention devoted by the doctors, nurses and staff of Clonbur Health Centre to Fr. Stephen will always be remembered by us as will that of the dedicated staff in U.C.H.G (in particular St. Anthony's Ward). Gratitude also for the most Christian but unobtrusive charity of his neighbours and the professionalism and dignity of Burkes Funeral Services who helped to alleviate grief on the sad occasion. We express thanks to Fr. Billy Reilly P.P for his constant support to Fr. Stephen in his time of failing health and very special thanks to Mary Coyne who took such wonderful care of Fr. Stephen for many years. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all above.
