WHELAN, Jack (Clontarf, Dublin 3). Died April 12, 2009, aged 23 - On this the first anniversary of Jack's untimely death we Brian, Olivia, Jenny, Tom and Hugo would like to thank most sincerely our relatives, friends and neighbours for their wonderful support at the time of our sad loss and even more so during the difficult year that followed. We were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the many many people Jack came into contact with during his short but full life. Thank you to all who attended Jack's funeral Mass and to all who called to our home, sent Mass Cards and messages of condolence. A sincere thank you to both Old Belvedere and Clontarf Rugby Clubs who acknowledged Jack's death on the field of play and to the members of Clontarf Cricket Club who formed the Guard of Honour. We are especially grateful to Fr. Leonard Moloney S.J. and all the clergy who concelebrated the funeral Mass, making it such a thoughtful and meaningful occasion. We were so moved by the Belvederians who sang 'Only in God' with such great gusto. Thank you to Fanagans Funeral Directors for their professionalism and support. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude.
