Fond memories

I was so sorry to hear from my mum that Joan had passed away. I would like to have attended the services for her but I work in the UK now and couldn't make it.

She was such a wonderful and caring woman. I will never forget how kind she was when I arrived in Summerville first, introducing me to Humphrey and telling me all about how to look after him. And then later, in the Elms, it was her looking after me rather than me looking after Humph! Joan really made me feel like a part of her family at a time when that was the most precious thing in the world to me. I will miss her a lot and always remember her fondly.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time for you all.

Lots of love,

Holly
