HANLEY Jim (Templeogue, Dublin and formerly of Loughill, Co. Limerick) - September 12, 2011, (suddenly and peacefully), at St. Vincent's University Hospital, Elm Park; beloved husband of 49 years to Marie, and a proud and adoring father, much loved by David, James, Fiona and Ellen, daughters-in-law Rosemary and Órla and son-in-law Rob, loving Grandpa Jim to Mark, Emma, Daniel, Sam, Kate and Beth, much loved brother to Eithne and Helen, and the late Tom, Mary, Brenda, Joan and baby John. His sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and all his many good friends will miss him so very much. May he rest in peace. Reposing at home today (Wednesday) from 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock Removal tomorrow (Thursday) morning to Terenure College Chapel, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock, followed by burial at Mount Venus Cemetery, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul or www.svp.ie."Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann"
HANLEY Jim 1932 - 2011 - Marie, David, James, Fiona, Ellen and family would like to thank all those who sympathised with them on the death of their beloved Jim. To those who came to the house and the funeral Mass, who travelled long distances to be with us, to Jim's great friend Fr. Eugene McCarthy who officiated, to the Prior and community of Terenure College, to neighbours and friends who looked after us and for your many cards and letters and acts of kindness, to the staff at the Beacon Clinic, St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin Fire Brigade and the paramedics who attended Jim after his sudden collapse, and to Dr. Brian Farrell and his staff at the Coroner's Court, we extend our deep gratitude. Very special thanks and appreciation to all his many friends at Terenure Sports Club for their support and hospitality following Jim's funeral. You are all in our thoughts following Jim's First Anniversary this week, as we miss him, cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend. A special Mass has been offered for all your intentions.Rest in peace Jim.
