FLAHERTY (Haverty Road, Fairview, Dublin) - On this first anniversary of Thomas's death, Kathleen, John, Elizabeth, Robert, Thomas, Brendan, Maura and Edel, his wife and children, join with their families in offering sincere thanks to all those who supported them in any way at the time of their sad loss and since. The personal calls, written and floral tributes, Mass Cards and kindness in word and action of so many family members, neighbours and friends was a source of great comfort at a deeply distressing time. Sincere thanks to the priests and staff of the Church of the Visitation, Fairview and of the Pro-Cathedral; to the Palestrina Choir and their Director, Bianaid Murphy, whose presence added great beauty and dignity to the funeral liturgy; to Dr. Mel Bates and Dr. Declan Sugrue and team for their constant medical care . The presence of Bishops Eamonn Walsh, Fiachra O'Callaigh and so many priests of the Archdiocese and elsewhere is particularly appreciated by the family.
