WHELAN (Taylors Hill, Galway) - April 19, 2011, (peacefully), after a very short illness in the presence of his wife and children in kind care at the Galway Clinic, John Desmond, (Des), devoted husband and best friend of Angela and loving father to Frank, Suzanne, Desmond, Ross and Alma; deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughters, daughter-in-law Mary, brother Gabriel, sisters Josephine, Annette and Geraldine, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and in particular Michael, the extended family and great friends. Family to accompany Des to the Augustinian Church on Tuesday morning (April 26) to arrive at 9.45 o'clock Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock Funeral after Mass to the New Cemetery, Bohermore.
