Gone to the Great Darkroom in the Skies

We buried a great man in Dublin yesterday Dr.Garret Fitzgerald who is now with his beloved Joan.To day I pay tribute to another great man Padraig Kennelly who goes to be reunited with his beloved Joan.

Over the last thirty years our paths have crossed many times as he worked the beat in his beloved Kingom of Kerry and I as a Corkman working for the Independent In Dublin came to invade his space.

One such occasion was a Munster Senior Football Final between our respective counties in Killarney when he presented me with a stool so as I could rest my weary self after the long trip from Dublin!!!It still is pride of place in my house of the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.

I attach one of my Images of a county I too love except on Munster Final Football Day.

Keep an eye on us up there Padraig in the Great Darkroom in the Sky
