BATESON (née Grundy) (Laura) (Adelaide) - November 3, 2007, after a long illness bravely borne, in the tender care of nurses and staff at the Blackrock Hospice darling wife of Ken and loving mother of the late Kenneth, beloved aunt of Elaine Adams and husband Dave, children Lesley and Kenneth; Derek Bateson and his wife Mary, and children Samantha and Alex (U.S.A.); and Robert Bateson. She was a wonderful caring person and will be missed by her friends and neighbours, especially those in the Kill Bowling Club and Stedfast Band. Reposing at Carnegies Funeral Home, 19 the Crescent Monkstown, from 2.30 o'clock to 6 o'clock today (Monday). Service of Thanksgiving will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon at 1 p.m. in Kill-o-the-Grange Parish Church (C. of I.), Deans Grange. Preceded by a private cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium at her own request. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Blackrock Hospice."Death is not extinguishing the light

BATESON (Adelaide) Laura, November 3, 2007 - Ken and family would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported and visited Laura, both at home and the hospice during her long illness and to her wonderful friends and neighbours for their help and kindness. Many thanks to all and to the C.H.A. Walking Club for their lovely letters, cards, Mass Cards and messages of sympathy. Thank you to those who attended the Service at Mount Jerome Crematorium and the many who also attended the Service of Thanksgiving for Laura's life at Kill O'The Grange Church and who gave so generously to The Blackrock Hospice. Special thanks to both our Rector and Curate and to the Stedfast Band for their contribution to a beautiful Service and to those who helped at the reception in the Parish Hall. Lastly deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Blackrock Hospice for their loving care and attention to Laura.
