boyhood friends

My deepest sympathies to Joe's wife and siblings. I first met Joe in 1974 when my family moved to Douglas. We became best friends and I still smile when I recollect the mischief we got up to. I went to look him up on facebook/ internet and was deeply saddened and shocked to see of his passing. No doubt the world will be a poorer place without him.

Remembering Joe Browne

We spent quite a bit of time with Joe whenever he came up to Dublin 1992 till he went to Australia. We have lovely memories of a trip to Sligo with him and him singing a song over a pint. We always referred to him as 'Joe Browne'. What a lovely person, full of life and laughter. With much sympathy,

Mary O Doherty and Des Kavanagh
