COTTER (Cusack Road, Ennis) - February 7, 2005, Ciarán, after a long battle with cancer fought with characteristic optimism, determination and good humour. Beloved son of Eddie and Dympna, cherished husband and "Anam Cara" of Harriet (née Whelan), adored and adoring Dad to Eddie, Barry and Úna. Deeply mourned by his wife, children, his parents, mother-in-law Dorothy (Whelan), brothers Eamonn, Enda, sisters Geraldine (Cotter Boyd), Assumpta (O'Toole), Roisín (McMahon), Eimear (Hickey), brothers-in-law John Boyd, Brian O'Toole, Vincent McMahon, Joe Hickey, Eamonn Whelan, Dermot Hynes, sisters-in-law Mary (Cotter), Janet (Fox), Tracy (Hynes) and Kate (Morbin), godchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. Rest in peace. Reposing at home today (Wednesday) from 2 to 5 o'clock with removal at 5 o'clock to Ennis Cathedral. Concelebrated funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 o'clock Burial afterwards in Drumcliffe Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Patient Comfort Fund, St Joseph's Ward, U.C.H.G."I fought the law and the law won".
