BYRNE (née Marshall) Philomena (Phil) Whitehall - July 6, 2008, (peacefully) in St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, after a long illnesses borne with patience, courage, and great faith. Lifetime companion and beloved wife of Paddy, loving mother of Maurice, Lt Col. Kevin, Martin, Aidan, daughters-in-law and ten grandchildren. Greatly missed by her sister Marie, brothers Brendan and Kevin, sisters-in-law, and her wide circle of neighbours and friends, both here and abroad. Removal to Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall, arriving at 6 o'clock today (Monday July 7). Requiem Mass at 10 o'clock tomorrow (Tuesday, July 8) followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if desired to St Francis Hospice. Special thanks to all the staff of St Francis Hospice for all their compassionate care and attention. House private.
