O'CONNELL (Capuchin Friary, Rochestown, Cork) - December 3, 2010 at the Bons Secours Hospital, Cork. Rev. Fr. Benjamin OFM Cap, brother of the late John; deeply regretted by his sisters Bernie (Costello), Sr. Margaret Mary (Ursuline Sr), Patricia (Barnard) (Australia), his Capuchin Confreres, nephews, nieces Ronan, Paul, Catherine, Aíne, David and Deirdre, brothers-in-law George and John, sister-in-law Robyn (New Zealand). Reposing at The Friary Oratory, Rochestown today (Monday) until 6 pm, reception into main Church at 7.30 pm, funeral tomorrow (Tuesday) after 11 am concelebrated Mass to Capuchin Community Cemetery.May he rest in peace.

<p>To the family of fr Benjamin o connell</p> <p>Sorryfor you're loss I just found out yesterday that he had passed away my sister was talking to the chaplain in blanchardstown hospital she asked him if he knew him and he said he had passed away a couple of years ago he used to teach me in panel 1 secondary school from 1967 to 1968 he did our wedding for us he was a dear friend rip my good friend</p>

<p>To the family of free Benjamin o connell</p> <p>Sorry for you're loss he used to teach me in the school in Dublin I was the only one that kept in touch with him I used to send him a card every Christmas from the family he did our wedding for us I only found out he had passed away today my sister asked the chaplain in blanchardstown hospital today about him so sorry to hear he had passed away </p>

<p>Thurles Soccer Club - late 50's</p> <p>Fr Benjamin (Tom) was a dear friend from our schooldays and, as I recall, a good defender in the town soccer team of that time (1957-58). I know he is remembered fondly by many of the players of that time.</p> <p>May he rest in peace.</p>
