DAVITT (Cahir F.) (Rathfarnham, Dublin 14) - On Friday, April 8, 2005, in his own home, Cahir F. Davitt, Solicitor, in the arms of his beloved eldest daughter, Doreen, and supported by the presence of his wife Helen (née Kirwan), went peacefully and with love, home to the Lord, after a long-fought and courageously-borne struggle with cancer, fortified by the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Cahir was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of forty years, Helen, their cherished and much loved children Doreen, Cahir Timothy and Fiona Sarah. He will also be remembered with love by his son-in-law and daughter-in-law Bekim and Nicola, his brothers and sister, as well as the extended families, devoted and caring friends and Legal Colleagues in Ireland, England, Germany, Italy and Canada. He will be especially missed in particular by his lifelong friend of just seventy years, Dr Robert Towers, and very special and so comforting Priest-friends including those recently deceased. A very special thank you to the G.P. Dr Michael Mehigan, to Dr Áine Hale, Dr Tanya Graham and Carmel Cremin, also to the Consultant Oncologist Mr David Mulvin and Mr Michael Moriarty. May Cahir Rest now in the everlasting peace of God and Heaven. Requiescat in pace. Cahir is reposing at his beloved home. Removal on Friday (April 15) to Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook to arrive at 5 o'clock Requiem Mass on Saturday, April 16 at 11 o'clock House and funeral strictly private please. All of Cahir's relatives and friends are welcome at the removal to the Church and to the concelebrated Requiem Mass. Immediate family flowers only please. During the Mass there will be a collection and those who wish to do so may give a donation in envelopes which will be divided between Cancer Research in St Vincent's University Hospital, the Hospice and the priests including the Vincentian Community."And there is a Sunrise for each soul
