GLACKEN, Peg (late of Ballina and Rathgar) - On the eve of the First Anniversary of Peg's death, Paul, Marita, TrĂona and the family would like to express their sincere thanks to all who offered sympathy and support following their sad loss-to all who sent Mass Cards and messages of sympathy, attended the wake and funeral services, called to the house, travelled long distances and to all who helped in countless ways. Thanks also to Dr Peter O'Sullivan and the Home Care Team who attended to Peg at home and to Anne, Bina and Liz who helped to care for her. Sincere thanks to Fr Frank Sammon, SJ, and the late Sr Katy Bergin who visited Peg regularly and brought the Blessed Sacraments to her. A warm thanks to Bishop Eamonn Walsh and Fr Martin Glynn who concelebrated the funeral Mass with Fr Sammon and to Fr Brendan Hoban who said prayers at the graveside in Bonniconlon. Thanks also to McGowan's Funeral Directors, Ballina, for their kindness and dignity on the funeral journey to the west and also to the gravediggers who prepared the grave so nicely. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all. The First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 1, at 7.30pm in the Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar, Dublin 6. Brendan, her son, who, sadly, predeceased her in February 2009, is remembered in a special way today.
