NOWLAN, Dr. David, (Dun Laoghaire, formerly of The Irish Times), died December 27, 2010 - David's family, Nora, Deirdre, Siobhan and Emer wish to express their deep appreciation to all the relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who sympathised with them in their recent sad loss. We extend our thanks to those who sent cards, letters and messages; those who attended the funeral service, especially those who undertook long journeys to do so and those who made donations to the Alzheimer Society. The contribution of Canon David Moylan, Chaplain to Glebe House Nursing Home, Conor Brady, former Editor of The Irish Times, and family members who participated in the funeral service is greatly appreciated. We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to the medical staff and carers who gave such support to us during David's illness over the last few years; Dr. Conor O'Leary, Dr. Conor Maguire, Dr. Colm Cooney, Community Nurse Anna Boland, and the whole team at Carew House; the Staff at Killiney Grove Nursing Home, at the Carman Centre, Leopardstown, The Orchard Centre, Blackrock, and our very dear friends at the Monday Club, Bray. A very special word of thanks to the nursing staff and carers at Glebe House Nursing Home, Kilternan, where David spent his last few months.
