BROWNE (Phyllis) (Cloughmor South, Ballinahown, Connemara, Co. Galway) - The loss of a wonderful mother, friend, wife and Mamo is very hard to bear, but our loss has been made somewhat less painful knowing that Phyllis is now with her beloved Noel. We were blessed to have Noel and Phyllis as parents, our children were blessed to have them as Mamo and Dado. Phyllis's last few years without Noel were filled with the love of wonderful friends, the unconditional love of Annette and Pat O'Connor and family, Inverin; the Noonans, Malahide; Michael D. and Sabina Higgins; Patricia and Grace; her cousin Eithne; Michael Hennerty; her neighbours and friends in Connemara who welcomed her home on Saturday; also the wonderful staff of Tara Nursing Home, Bray, Co. Wicklow, Loughlinstown Hospital and, finally, St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin. There is a silent saint who has been part of our family for more years than we care to remember - Mo Dowling. There are no words to describe this lady who is always there with her love and friendship - for our late father and mother and now for Ruth, Nena, Susie and the boys. She is a treasure. If we have left out a name or two please forgive us as it is difficult to write through flowing tears. Remember Phyllis and smile - Ruth and Susie and family.
