BYRNE Fr. Martin O.M.I. (Brazil and Millbrook, Naas) - August 4, 2011 (peacefully) in Goiania Hospital, Brazil. Surrounded by his Oblate Confreres and his cousin Eileen. Deeply regretted by his brothers Charlie and George, his sisters Kay, Anne, Marie, Rita and Helena, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends and by his Oblate Confreres in Brazil and The Anglo Irish Province. Burial will take place in Brazil. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas at 10 o'c today (Friday). A Mass of Thanksgiving for Martin's life and ministry will be celebrated in the Oratory House of Retreat, Inchicore on Saturday, August 13 at 11.30 o'clock May he Rest in Peace

Carol and Richard Gradwell remember Fr Martin with warmth and fondness. Martin concelebrate​d mass at our wedding in 1977 with Fr Nicholas Broadbridge DOM, (RIP). Martin guided us through our marriage preparations​. We are still together. X
