McELROY (née Adams) (Howth, Co. Dublin and formerly of Enniskillen and Belfast) - May 9, 2005, at her residence in Howth, after a long illness bravely borne, Una, beloved wife of Eamon and mother of Joe; sadly missed by her husband, son, brother John, sister Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, grandnephews, nieces, grandnieces, wider family and the many friends who were with her throughout her life and who helped her particularly in recent months. Her family particularly thank the doctors and staff at the Oncology Unit at Beaumont Hospital, her carers, doctors and nurses from the Irish Cancer Society and St Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dr Joe and his wife Ann, Kay, Wendy and all of those who tended to her with great compassion as her illness progressed. A particular thanks is extended to Fr Jim S.M. and Sr Marie Terese R.S.C., who provided the support that eased Una's path to her eternal reward. May she rest in peace. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Howth this (Wednesday) evening arriving at 5.30 o'clock Funeral tomorrow (Thursday) after 11 o'clock Mass to St Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton.
