MONAGHAN, Ken, (Celbridge, Co. Kildare, formerly of Oughterard, Co. Galway and Terenure Dublin) - September 20, 2010, (peacefully), predeceased by his first wife Joan, daughter Maeve and grandson Ali; sadly missed by his loving wife Lucy, children, Katherine, Niall, Siobhán, Helen, Judy and John, grandchildren, Cillian, Eva, Niall, Cian, Dylan and Courtney, family and friends. Rest in peace. Removal this (Thursday) morning from his home, to Terenure College Chapel, arriving for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass and afterwards to Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to St. Raphael's Parents & Friends Association.

<p>Ken Monaghan</p> <p><br />It's so sad to hear of Ken's passing. He was a cherished mentor to me and a constant friend. I do not remember a single conversation we ever had that did not include a good laugh on some acccount or other. That was just one of his many gifts. Truly one of the most impressive people I've ever had the pleasure and privilege of encountering. Heartfelt sympathies to Lucy, Helen and all the family.</p> <p>Des Gunning</p>
