ALLEN (John R.) (Blackrock, Glasthule and T.C.D.) - John's wife Deirdre (McConnell), would like to sincerely thank family, relatives, friends and neighbours, who gave support and comfort during John's illness and at the time of his death (March 11, 2004). A special word of thanks to his medical team, who showed such care and kindness, Dr Barry O'Connell, Rita Luddy and staff in Private One, St James's Hospital, the Blackrock Hospice Home Care Team, the doctors and nurses in St Gabriel's Ward, Our Lady's Hospice, Harolds Cross and his G.P. Dr Brigid Sheehy. Thank you also to Fr Philip O'Driscoll who celebrated the Mass and Quinns Funeral Home for their gentle guidance. To those who sent Mass cards, letters, phoned and made donations to the Hospice. To the many who attended the removal, Mass and burial and who continue to support me - thank you. To Noreen Brennan for her wonderful good humour and friendship. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of my appreciation. Your kindness and continued support have helped me greatly."John, forever in my mind".
