SEAMAN Janet (née Long) (Barberstown, Clonsilla) - March 13, 2011 peacefully after a long illness accepted with courage, dignity and good humour, in the loving care of the staff at St. Vincent's Ward, The Mater Hospital. Much loved wife of Charles and darling mother of Stephen, Robert and Sarah; sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, parents Mabel and Gordon, sisters Andrea (Stewart), Melanie (Dolan) and Rachel, mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters- in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. Funeral service tomorrow (Tuesday) at 12 noon in St. Mary's Church, Clonsilla followed by committal service at 2.30 o'c at Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Daffodil Day. No black ties please.

SEAMAN Janet (née Long) Barberstown, Clonsilla - On this the First Anniversary of Janet's passing, lovingly and sadly missed by her husband Charles and children Stephen, Robert and Sarah, her parents, sisters and extended family, we would again like to thank all those who supported us through Janet's illness and passing. The kindness and generosity of family,neighbours, friends and colleagues will never be forgotten. We thank especially all the dedicated staff of St. Vincent's Ward, Mater Hospital, who looked after Janet with love and kindness. We were very moved by the large number of people who attended her Thanksgiving Service and we acknowledge receipt of the many letters, sympathy cards, Mass cards and donations to Daffodil Day in her memory. We thank Rev. Canon Aisling Shine. Janet's friend and pastor to us all, also Rev. Paul Houston and the pastoral team in St. Mary's, Clonsilla. Please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.
