GUINEE (Dr. Karen Mary) (Douglas, Cork) (who died tragically on June 12, 2006) - Karen's parents Gerard and Noreen, her sisters Laura and Julie and her extended family wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised and comforted them in their recent sad loss. Thanks for your kind words, your letters, Mass Cards and floral tributes, for attending the removal and funeral and generally for being with us and supporting us during those very sad days in June. A special thanks to Fr. Robert Brophy of Douglas, Fr. Tommy Marrinan (Chaplain) and Ann McKeown (Bereavement Officer) of University Hospital Galway, Dr. Iognáid Ó Muircheartaigh, President, and his staff at University College Galway (N.U.I.G.), and to the members of the Garda Síochána in Galway and Cork for their sensitive professionalism. Thanks also to Fr. Diarmuid Hogan (N.U.I.G.), Fr. James Killeen and Fr. Dan Crowley who assisted Fr. Brophy at the funeral Mass and to Bishop John Buckley who attended the Mass, to Mrs. Cashman, Principal and the students of St. Columbas N.S. in Douglas for the beautiful choir-singing, to Karen's fellow medical students of N.U.I.G. who formed a Guard of Honour, and the Organist, Sacristan and Alter-servers. A word of appreciation also to the undertakers, Conneelys of Galway and O'Sullivans of Cork for their sensitive handling of the funeral and to neighbours and relations who helped in any way. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, so please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation to all who shared in our sadness. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
