GILNA, Joan

GILNA (née Carty) Joan - On this the first anniversary of Joan's death (May 21, 2010) Paul, Helyn, Cathy, Gregory, Bernard and extended family wish to thank all those who sympathised with us on the sad but peaceful death of our Mum. We would like to thank all those who attended the removal and the funeral service, those who traveled long distances and those who sent Mass cards, enrolments and letters of sympathy. A special word of thanks to the staff of Leeson Park Nursing Home, a place that Mum was proud to call home for the previous 2 years. We would also like to thank the staff of the Beacon Hospital who looked after both Mum and us in her final days. Thank you also to Fr. Martin Clarke and Fr. Conor Harper who made her funeral service so personal and to our cousin Catherine Killoran for her beautiful singing. Thanks to all those who continue to provide unending support and whose fond memories of Joan keep her always in our thoughts. We remember too at this time our Dad, John Gilna, whose 30th anniversary occurs this year. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Anniversary Mass will take place at 10.00am on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in The Sacred Heart Church, Donnybrook.
